For successful business owners, executives, and high-performing professionals who want to understand the patterns beneath how they lead, decide, relate, recover, and live.

Angular modern architecture suggesting clarity, leadership, and executive responsibility

Beyond performance tactics

Sometimes the leadership problem is not only a leadership problem.

A decision pattern at work can be connected to the same pattern that appears under stress at home. Relentless achievement can be both a genuine strength and a way of avoiding what feels harder to face. A successful person can have excellent resources and still lack a private place to think clearly about the whole picture.

My approach combines structured assessment, clinical pattern recognition, practical coaching, and real-world implementation. The goal is not to turn every concern into therapy. It is to understand enough of the person beneath the performance to know where change is most likely to matter.

01

Strictly Confidential

A private place for the conversations that do not belong in the boardroom, office, or social circle.

02

Psychological Depth

Look beneath tactics to the recurring patterns influencing decisions, pressure, relationships, and performance.

03

Whole-Person View

Leadership, relationships, habits, recovery, purpose, values, and personal patterns are not treated as unrelated compartments.

04

Defined Engagements

Clear scope, concrete priorities, implementation between meetings, and an endpoint rather than indefinite weekly appointments.

How the work is different

Build a useful model of what is actually happening.

01

Assess

Start with the problem you can already see, then gather enough structured information to determine what may be driving or sustaining it.

02

Synthesize

Look across strengths, blind spots, contradictions, outliers, history, habits, relationships, stress, values, and other relevant domains rather than reducing you to one score.

03

Apply

Test the working model against real decisions and real pressure. Keep what proves useful, revise what does not, and turn insight into behavior.

Three levels of depth

Not every problem requires a comprehensive personal analysis.

01

Focused Coaching

$2,750 · 2 months. One defined problem or outcome, four private meetings, focused implementation, and a brief written continuation plan.

02

Integrated Coaching

$4,500 · 4 months. An interconnected problem, targeted assessment, concise written synthesis, eight private meetings, and limited between-session support.

03

Private Advisory

$7,800 · 6 months. Comprehensive whole-person assessment and profile, twelve private meetings, greater access, and a final updated synthesis after the model has been tested in real life.

Best fit

For people who are functioning well enough to do serious growth work—not looking for generic motivation.

This work is designed for business owners, executives, leaders, and other high-performing professionals who want thoughtful analysis, are willing to test changes between meetings, and care about the quality of life underneath visible success.

Common areas include leadership and decision-making, overthinking, stress and recovery, relationship patterns, home life, identity beyond achievement, purpose, values, habits, and the tensions that appear when several of these interact.

Christian faith can be integrated when desired, but it is not required for this executive-coaching service. A separate Christian coaching pathway is available for clients who want faith to be central to the engagement.

St. Louis and nearby communities

Private coaching is available across the region and nationally by video.

Locally, clients may come from St. Louis City and County as well as communities such as Ladue, Frontenac, Town and Country, Huntleigh, Clayton, Creve Coeur, Chesterfield, Clarkson Valley, Wildwood, Glencoe, and St. Albans. These place names are used to clarify the area served—not to imply a separate office in each community.

Because the work is private and largely virtual, geography matters less than fit. The St. Louis page is the local hub; more specific location pages are added only when there is enough unique local intent and content to justify them.

Practical questions

Before beginning

Is this therapy?

This page describes coaching, not psychotherapy. Coaching is future-oriented and organized around development, decisions, patterns, implementation, and defined goals. Brian Bachman is also a Missouri Licensed Professional Counselor, but coaching is provided under a separate written coaching agreement and is not crisis care, emergency treatment, medication management, or a substitute for appropriate medical or psychiatric care.

Do I need to be a CEO?

No. The best fit is defined more by responsibility, resources, motivation, and the complexity of the problem than by job title. Clients may be business owners, executives, professionals, leaders, athletes, clergy, or other high performers.

Do you only work with clients in St. Louis?

No. Brian is based in St. Louis and works virtually with coaching clients across the United States. This page exists to make the local St. Louis offering easy to find without implying a walk-in or brick-and-mortar counseling office.

What makes the assessment different from a personality test?

Individual instruments can provide useful information, but the higher-value work is synthesis. The process looks for interactions among strengths, blind spots, history, decisions, stress responses, relationships, habits, values, lifestyle, and other relevant information, then tests those hypotheses against real life during the engagement.
